Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation
PPWR replaces the old Packaging Waste Directive with a directly binding EU regulation. It applies uniformly across Member States and reaches packaging around parts, components, accessories and logistics flows entering the EU market.
For automotive exporters, packaging cannot be treated as a back-office detail. Retail packs, grouped cartons, pallets, crates, stretch wrap, dunnage and protective trays can all create compliance duties.
